Hamdan For Foods began in 1991 as a small bakery in Damascus, Syria, with a strategy of making the highest quality products. The company diversified into Arabic sweets and ice cream, opened points of sale in strategic locations, and launched its own distribution units. In 2009 it expanded its export network as a step toward internationalization, and in 2012 established a manufacturing facility at the Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein Industrial Estate in Amman, Jordan. Today it produces traditional Levantine/Damascene baked goods and sweets: breadsticks (ka'ak al-Sham), ma'amoul, ma'amoul cookies, nawashif (dry sweets such as ghraybeh and barazek), and baklava. The company emphasizes modern food-safety measures across its production lines. Company motto: 'Anyone can make a profit, but we believe that only a few can truly make a difference in what they do.' The company exhibits at Gulfood (Gulfood 2026: South Hall 10, Stand 58-35).
